We offer a supply service of finished stone components to other Stonemasonry companies, builders, civil engineers, developers along with private clients. We undertake work for both New Build projects and restoration work. Although primarily we are a production based company we will in certain situations work on site or offer advice or provide on site management facilities, where our specialist skills are required.
We are located comparatively close to London and the M25 and have a good logistics network which enables us to ship products to all parts of the UK and abroad. This also means that we are able to bring in unusual materials from both Europe and Asia with ease.
We have the capacity to process in excess of thirty tons of block each week.
A team of fully trained and time served stonemasons, one being a CITB Skill Build finalist, are complimented by the very latest technology which includes two CNC Stone processing machines.
Bavelloni 5 axis CNC machine- one of the first 5 axis in this country.
Terzago Forma 4 axis CNC bridge saw taking up to a 1200 blade size.
SMC computerised CAD profiling saw.
MbM Straight line edging machine.
Pellegrini Wire Saw which gives us the ability to primary saw block stone when required.
Complementing the 5 Axis CNC station we have a 3-D Laser Scanner which is a copying device with software which enables us to replicate 3 dimensional objects and images such as carvings and bas relief, we can also form STL files for others so data can be digitally stored, this same scanning technology can also be expanded to whole building facades.
We can receive and handle information in many formats such as Autocad files, Igges, dxf, stl, cdl, tag as well as other formats and the more traditional drawings etc.
We hold a general stock of many stones at any time, if not in stock we will endeavour to obtain materials as quickly as possible. These include, but is not exhaustive:-
We are able to produce many surface finishes, some of the more common are listed:-
We are more and more being asked to use reclaimed materials to create new items and would like to think that we are in the forefront and proactive in re-manufacturing and adapting old sound stone when required.
We always seek to maximise the local resources for employment and do not supplement our workforce with imported labour. Our philosophy is that in order to maintain quality, consistency and reputation a mutual respect between the company and employees is essential as we rely heavily upon the skills and experience of our staff. By paying good salaries ensures a good standard of living to our employees. This is evident in the fact that most employees have worked with Mark for over 5 years some as many as twelve years.
Whilst more and more of the UK’s stone production is being outsourced abroad this can lead to issues with reworking, variations and replacement stones, this is where we can help. We have had first hand experience of issues over precision and quality being very changeable from stone worked abroad and have undertaken remedial works at short notice. Whilst there may be a place or need for this type of production in today’s market we firmly believe that we can offer a first class, competitive and alternative service particularly for the more intricate and bespoke components and often where specialised finishes are required. We have shared production with companies abroad in this way, with us producing the detailed stones. This offers the advantage of us being local and accessible for quality control by our customers and a point of delivery and inspection of stone imported before reaching its final destination.
